The filter chips group the 358 styles into seven families plus All. Gaming is the framed combinations, wings, godlike brackets and stars around bold and blackletter, built for name cards. Bold is the three mathematical bold alphabets. Script is the two cursive alphabets. Aesthetic is the widest: small caps, fullwidth, the alphabet spoofs, and the fourteen symbol interleaves. Boxed is circled, squared and parenthesised letters, filled and outlined. Gothic is fraktur and bold fraktur. Effects is the combining-mark styles, strikethrough, underline, zalgo, and the diacritic decorations. The counts on the chips are computed from the list, so they are always exact.
Bold, Script and Gothic are Mathematical Alphanumerics and render on every current device. Boxed styles render on phones reliably; the negative-squared set may appear as colour emoji on iOS. Aesthetic is mixed: fullwidth and the interleaves are safe, small caps can fall back on older Android fonts, and the spoofs depend on Greek and Cyrillic coverage, which is nearly universal. Effects are combining marks and render everywhere, but heavy zalgo is clipped to the line on modern platforms and may overflow on old ones. Gaming styles inherit the rendering of their base alphabet plus their frame symbols, and a few frame symbols do not exist in older game engine fonts.
Bold, then Gothic. Both are Mathematical Alphanumerics that most game engines cover. From the Gaming family, prefer frames built from stars and brackets over ones using hieroglyph or Tibetan marks, which some engines lack.
It collects everything that is not a weight, a script or an enclosure: fullwidth, small caps, five alphabet spoofs and fourteen symbol interleaves. It is a catch-all by design.
No. They attach combining marks to your original letters (a strikethrough bar, an underline, stacked accents) so the underlying text is unchanged and still searchable.
