Build crazy and intimidating gamer tags with unique matrix distortion and cursed glyphs.
The crazy styles differ in what they are made of, and that decides where they work. Zalgo styles are combining marks, extra characters that attach to the letter before them and stack. Upside-down and the alphabet spoofs (Greek, Cyrillic, currency) are ordinary letters from other scripts chosen to resemble Latin ones. Mirrored is just reversed order. Platforms with a strict name filter, most mobile games, whitelist letter blocks and refuse combining marks, so zalgo is rejected while upside-down and spoofs pass. Discord and Steam accept all three.
None of the crazy styles is searchable (ɐʇnu is not "anta" to a search box, and 𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 with marks stacked on it matches nothing) and none reads correctly with a screen reader. That makes them display names, not handles. Use them where the platform separates the two: Discord's display name over a plain username, Steam's profile name over a plain custom URL, a game nickname over a plain account ID. Where the visible name is the only identifier, a crazy style means nobody can add you by typing.
Zalgo is made of combining marks, which strict name filters block. Upside-down uses ordinary letters from the phonetic alphabet, which pass a letter whitelist.
Discord display names and nicknames, Steam profile names, and most forums. Mobile games with name filters (PUBG Mobile, Free Fire) refuse them.
Not by typing it. Keep a plain username or ID for adding friends and use the crazy style as the display name.
