Fonts Generator for Facebook

Enhance your Facebook posts with bold headers and eye-catching character styles.

Substituting for the missing toolbar

Facebook's post composer for ordinary profiles has no bold, no headings and no lists, and the same is true of comments. Styled unicode fills the gap: a sans-serif bold line where a heading would go, circled digits ①②③ where a numbered list would go, small caps for a subheading. Because these are characters and not formatting, they survive in the feed, in notifications, and when the post is shared. The style stays readable only if it is used sparingly. A bold heading over plain body text reads as structure; a whole post in bold reads as shouting.

The three places it does not work

Profile names are filtered by the real-name policy and reject mathematical alphabets. Expect a styled name to be refused at save or reverted later. Hashtags do not link when their letters are styled. Search matches plain characters, so a brand or a name in a fancy font will not appear in results for the plain word. Everything else (posts, comments, bio, Intro, page About, group and event descriptions) accepts and renders styled text in the app and on the web. Page names are reviewed and frequently reverted; treat them like profile names.

Frequently asked questions

How do I bold text in a Facebook post?

Copy a sans-serif bold version from the list and paste it into the post. There is no bold button for ordinary posts, and the pasted bold renders in the app and on the web.

Can I number a list in a Facebook post?

Facebook flattens real lists. Use circled digits ①②③ from the Boxed family as list markers. Each is one character and holds its line.

Will a fancy font work in my Facebook name?

Usually not. The real-name policy filter rejects mathematical alphabets in profile names. Use styled text in your bio and posts instead.
