The social preview

Every result row has a small phone icon. Press it and the styled text opens in a mock-up of an Instagram profile header (the same layout, spacing and font weight as the app) so you can judge how a style actually reads in context rather than in a list. Script that looks good at 20 pixels here can be unreadable at Instagram's bio size, and the preview shows that before you commit. The same preview offers Discord, X and Steam layouts for the same text, which is useful if one handle needs to work across several platforms.

Assembling a bio from parts

Bios are usually built from two or three separately styled lines, and the tool is set up for that: style your name, copy; style a divider or a tagline, copy; type the plain lines yourself; assemble in Instagram's bio editor. Each copy lands in history so you can re-copy a piece. The bio editor accepts each pasted piece as text and you can edit around it. Watch the running total. The name field is a separate 30-character budget from the 150-character bio, and emoji count as two characters in both. Instagram: bio 150 characters, name field 30, @username letters, digits, dots and underscores only.

Frequently asked questions

What does the phone icon do?

It shows your styled text in a mock Instagram profile header, plus Discord, X and Steam layouts, so you can judge legibility at the platform's real size before pasting.

How do I mix two styles in one bio?

Style and copy each line separately here, then paste them one after another in Instagram's bio editor. Each piece is plain text once pasted, so you can edit around it.

Why is my bio over the limit when it looks short?

Emoji count as two characters each in Instagram's bio, and frame symbols count one each. Styled letters count one. The count under each result here includes any frame.
